Samenvatting
This thesis explores the transformative potential of technical ceramics within the context of Leica camera lens design. Combining a technical analysis of ceramic production methods (green machining, injection molding, additive manufacturing) with a user study on the perception of luxury and premium qualities in the surface attributes, the research aims to bridge material innovation with a deep understanding of Leica's discerning customer base.
